We held out first exhibition three years ago in Stockton-on-Tees. Peg Powler Gallery was conceived to be the cockroach of art groups - in the case of a financial apocalypse we would still survive, because we're DIY to the core and we never rely on quango money or sponsors. We're hoping to announce some super-fun new projects soon, including one about our permanent collection. When we first started putting on shows we didn't even think about building a collection, but over the years we've accumulated unusual gems of fine art ranging from Stuart's Faulkner oil paintings to Rene Porteous' drawing of a girl who likes Hitler. In the meantime we have some weird collages on display in our pal Khadim's weird bookshop 'Boro Bookworm' in the Forbes Building, Middlesbrough. Oh yeah!
