We will be working alongside the residents of the care home to produce drawings and images which reflect characters from traditional local folklore, to more personal characters from past memories.

For one whole day, we will be setting up a museum of local heritage and history in one of Stockton’s empty shops. This is not an ordinary museum however, focussing on our running theme of folklore, legends and myths; visitors to the space will be able to draw the exhibitions and see their work become part of the museum.

Throughout October in the gallery, we present a new artistic project based on the folklore, history and legends of Teesside, which will take over the gallery from Tuesday 12th October. Visitors to the gallery will be encouraged to share stories and draw their favourite characters from Teesside's past.
