AJ Garrett's Bad Art Revolution: The Bad Art Show
Drawings from an ongoing project where varied people are encouraged to perish all neurotic concepts such as drawing 'well' or 'right' or in 'good taste'. Drawing with markers and crayons on white paper under strict and strange conditions, everyone is equal and there is no room for finesse or fine technique, but pictures emerge that are fun, unique, sometimes disturbing and with more character and vibrancy and personality than so much cold, vague academic art that comes out of formal institutions.
The Bad Art Show opens MONDAY FEBRUARY 1ST 6PM - 9PM and is open to the public every Monday from 6pm - 9pm and by appointment. Peg Powler Gallery is a relaxed and inviting environment for enjoying art, being creative, meeting people and drinking tea, located in working music studio (Green Dragon Studios, ran by non-profit arts group Tees Music Alliance) in Stockton on Tees.
